A pledge is a personal estimate of a specific amount of money you will commit to the programs and operating costs of Roberts Park and the United
Methodist Church. Pledges account for about 55 percent of budgeted income. Most pledges are made near the end of the current year for the
upcoming one, which helps in the process of developing an annual budget. Throughout the year, pledges are usually fulfilled with a weekly or
monthly contribution. A pledge card can be requested from the church office at any time, or you may print one from this link, Email the office, or call 317-635-1636.
A financial gift may be designated for a particular purpose or ministry such as mission work or the building fund. Bequests and memorial gifts may be similarly designated.
Gifts that are directed to agencies of the United Methodist Church, such as the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) may be made through Roberts Park. Your entire gift will be forwarded to the agency, and Roberts Park will include the gift amount as part of the annual contribution record that will be sent to you. You can mail your check to the church, or contribute online through PayPal.
Each month, “loose change” is collected to help meet a specific, current community need. All of the coins placed in offering plates or in the marked jar in the narthex during the month are designated for that purpose. In the past, Loose Change offerings have been used for disaster relief following the tornados in southern Indiana, restocking of food pantries, and funding of the neighborhood assistance program sponsored by Roberts Park. In October 2017, offerings will go toward Mission Guatemala.
Contributing Time and Talent
